Lisa Sauvé received her Social Work degree with honours from Laurentian University in 1998. She has vast training and experience working collaboratively with family doctors, psychologist, psychiatrists and fellow social workers. She has also provided clinical supervision to multiple disciplines in addictions and mental health.
Lisa specializes and is certified in Trauma Counselling from the Hincks-Dellcrest Institute in Toronto. She offers trauma informed supervision, trauma informed practice training and trauma counselling to families, couples and individuals. Her trauma therapy approaches include Cognitive Processing Therapy and Internal Family Systems Theory.
Her clinical practice utilizes Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Brief Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness. With children she can incorporated play and art therapy.
